LA Living: Art Block Zine; Volume 2, Issue 2
Art Block is a student-run DSTL Arts program that produces a biannual zine by the same name. The Art Block Zine is put together by a student-led editorial board that meets on a weekly basis and reviews all submissions for content, theme, and artistic quality. The work our student-led editorial board seeks to publish should activate our five senses while inspiring us with a sense of vulnerability: a sense of realness. We hope to connect with well-developed stories and artwork.
This issue’s theme is “Life in LA.” What’s it like to live in Los Angeles? Collected here you’ll fi nd artwork that attempts to define life in the city. Collected here is a sense of Los Angeles’ culture.
DSTL Arts – a nonprofit arts mentorship organization that inspires, teaches, and hires creative, at-risk youth ages 16–21 years old.
